Following his acclaimed full-length, Anything In Return, Chaz Bundick's latest 2013 entry as Toro y Moi is the "Campo" 7-inch, available exclusively on his fall North American tour. Sporting a stripped-down, live approach, the title track is a laid-back '70s funk-soul throwback. Bundick's exposed vocals and the roomy instrumentation highlight the strange polarization he sings about, being "partially for" a familiar relationship he's split from "thousands of times." The flipside is "Outside With You." The opening line is "Come down from that mountain/that makes you think too much," and it sounds like Bundick took his own advice. The track is simply composed: gently strummed guitar, piano, and a sweet vocal melody.
